Time Strategies for this semester.

As I have Monday's off this semester I have decided to do two hours of Multimedia work during that day. I looked at my timetable and I have a lot of breaks during the day while at college so to fill up them hours I will be doing one hour on a Tuesday afternoon and another hour on Wednesday. I find for me doing college work over the weekend defeats the purpose of a weekend. I know with assignments due and long days at college sometimes I will have to do work on Saturday and Sunday but for now I will work hard during the week and spend my weekends relaxing. As I have the semester calendar bookmarked to my phone it has synced to the calendar on my phone. This will help me and remind me what I have to do within the coming week and what has to be submitted. If I have time left over or I worked faster one day I will work ahead. The one thing I have promised myself this year is that I will start all my work straight away and not leave it to the last minute like last year! It just

Using different types of technology tools.

I have always used bookmarks especially if I find a website I never want to loose. I think it's a great way of using the same websites over and over again if they work best for you. I find it easier to have them on default page as soon as you open google chrome, it saves time instead of searching for a link. I use pinterest a lot! I could spend hours scrolling on my phone and saving different things to my own personal boards. I used it all the time last year for Visual Creativity. I found it helped me to understand what my lecturer was asking us to do and it gave me ideas for my own assignments. So for this module I will be using it all the time! https://www.digitalmomblog.com/pinterest-memes/ Majority of my pictures that are on my social media are edited, I don't know why I do this but I always find the image looks better. I use an app called Aviary and they have a website which you can edited your pictures online. Its simple to use and has so many different feature

What I think about this years assignments

From hearing and reading what this module entails I'm quite excited about it. Don't get me wrong reading and writing are not my strong points but I have always liked the thought of having a blog so when Shaun said we are to write a blog I was super happy to get going. The one thing that stuck out for me is the extra credit. We have never experience anything like this yet in college but it also means if don't get around to doing one task it's not to worry as we can make up the marks somewhere else. I also think it will give me more reason to do more college work to get my grades up especially if I think something hasn't gone in a previous task. https://memeshappen.com/meme/kevin-hart-the-hell/when-your-teacher-says-extra-credit-49988 The one thing I am worried about is giving other people feedback. I'm not great with a way of words so I would hate to give someone feedback and for them to take it the wrong way and be annoyed at me especially if its peop

Learning About Mindset Growth

When I think about mindset I think about relaxing, I have never heard of Carol Dweck until today. What I learnt from listening and reading to what she has to say I have realized that sometimes I run away from error and I don't like to be told I'm wrong especially if it is in a subject that I don't practically like. She has thought me that I should better myself and try again when ever I fail at something. When Carol talks about "how we are raising our children" I do think parents except more from their children, personally because I have dyslexia my mum always says "all I want you to do, is do your best" and that is exactly what I have done but thinking back to when I done the leaving cert a lot of my friend's parents excepted them to come out with A's which puts pressure on their children which isn't fair. Of course students want the best grades but to have added pressure from their parents is very unfair. My biggest problem when setting

Introduction to me being me!

I never know how to write about myself. I always feel so embarrassed and I don't know why😅 Like last year when Margret asked us to do a video about ourselves, I wanted to cry as I never know what to say about myself without sounding big headed! So here comes the cringe fest.... My name is Elizabeth, I am 23 years old and I was born and bred in Maynooth. It is a nice a place but now its just full of college students who are taking over (I know i'm a college student but these people are from the country you know)😂.           I still live at home with my mum and recently my boyfriend Dan has moved in with us as well. I have a sister Meaghan who is getting married next year to her fiancee Lesley. In the last couple of years we have also gotten in contact with my half sister, so our family just keeps on growing which is great.  We are a very close family and I wouldn't have it any other way. I am very lucky to have such amazing people to be there for me when ever I need

Workshop 1.

Doing this workshop was something I have never done before. Trying to get my brain to work first thing on a Wednesday morning is difficult enough anyway but when Shaun told us to get into groups of two or three and figure out the traffic light system I had no idea how we were going to do this.        When you sit in a car you can figure out what light will turn green next by looking at what the direction the cars are going but when you put pen to paper it can be challenging. Jen and myself were in a group, by the end of the workshop we did not get the result we wanted as we couldn't figure it out. This workshop seemed easy until you tried to write it down on paper. It defiantly did get my mind working for the rest of the day. https://pixabay.com/vectors/confusion-left-right-straight-311388/ -EH

Favorite Games I Played As A Kid

I have never had a brother so video games in my house as a child were not a big thing. The only gaming console I remember being in the house as a kid was a Play Station 2 which my sister used to play Simpsons Hit & Run.       As I got older and was allowed now to play I use to love it, I wasn't very good but sure when your trying to drive like a crazy person on a video game who was!! I got such a thrill from smashing into things, collecting coins and robbing other peoples cars to get away from the police. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Logo_The_Simpsons.svg As I got older for one of my birthday's I asked for a Nintendo DS, I was so excited as everyone in my class in primary school had one. The first game I got was Super Mario Bro's. It was the must have game when you got a Nintendo DS. Every single day I played it after school. As my mum would say I became "obsessed" with it. I have completed the whole game. When my Nintendo DS broke I stop
