Hi Guys,
Welcome back to my blog, in today's blog post I will be telling you guys about my ideas for my video game. When I think about making a game I think it needs to be a game that everyone will enjoy. After having a look around the internet I know have a good idea of what my four possible games could be.
Game 1: For my first game I would like it to be similar to The Sims 4. The Sim was first released back in 2000. It has many different versions of the game which has made this game the "best selling video game series of all time".https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sims . I have always like the idea of being able to build your own imaginary life on a video game, from personalizing your characters, to building your own houses/business, to earning money, to having relationships/friendships within this video world. I would like my game to be the type that people would loose hours having fun.
When I was younger the only thing all my friends ever did was play Sims, it was the must have game and everyone was obsessed. Thinking back on it now I probably spent way to much time stuck to the computer screen but if I was to make a game like this I would expect people to be the same.
After looking at different tutorials by Jimmy Vegas it looks like it could be easy enough to do which is very exciting as I do think making something similar to the Sim is number one on my list of games.
Game 2: For my second game I have been doing research about Animal Crossing. Animal Crossing first came into every child's life in 2012. As you have probably read my "Favorite game" blog you'll know when I was younger I had a Nintendo DS. That Nintendo was the best thing I ever owned as like my mum would say "it was always glued to your hands!"
One Christmas I got Animal Crossing as a present from my parents. Straight away I was hooked! I loved everything about it. Again if I was to make a game to be played on Nintendo I would do something similar. It would include animal as who doesn't love a game that features animals. I would change somethings (obviously). What I would change is that we could follow a trail to collect money, find gems that you can trade in to receive gifts and have challenges each day to do to be able to move up levels.
Again the same as the Sims by using Unity and the help of Jimmy Vegas it should be easy enough to build a video game like Animal Crossing.
Game 3: My idea of heaven when I'm bored or procrastinating from college work (sorry) is to play games on my phone. My go to game is Candy Crush. I could loose hours if I'm not careful. I would like to make a game that would users could play on their phone/ipad. Something to get players excited to pass a level to keep moving forward and having to solve the problems to pass.
I would like to come up with a game that has many different levels, challenges each day for players to do to win money, gems, extra lives etc. It could also be a game that they could create the levels and other people have to complete them.
Game 4: My final game idea would be a high paced game, examples of this would be Cooking Mama, Super Mario Bros, Crash Bandicoot.
Something that gets players excited to pass each level. It would include a small personalized character that the player has made to suit themselves, it would have obstacles that they would have to do to ensure that they pass the level. Again with the help of Unity it would be easy enough to make.
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog.
