Unity Tutorial 06 Workshop 1

Hi guys,

Welcome back to my blog, today I will be speaking about Unity (again). This week I watched three different tutorials by Jimmy Vegas.

In the first tutorial we learnt how to download a skybox package which we can use to change the colour of the sky and other object within our game. I found this tool very useful as I will need this when making my own game soon. We also learnt how to add wind zone which I enjoyed as you need to have different sounds within a game, by adding this function you can control how the trees blow in the wind but you can also do the same for the grass which I think is pretty cool!

The second tutorial I watched as about how to pick up the weapon which in my game is an axe. I had a bit of difficultly with this as when I added my axe a couple of weeks ago it wouldn't exactly work correctly for me. So after a while of looking around at different things I finally got the axe to work. In the game I plan on making I will not need to use this function.

In the third tutorial I watched we learnt how to fix bugs with our axes. We also learnt how to fade in and out of our game which is pretty cool! We were thought how to add in a house which I will need in my game when I am making it so this is an important feature for me.

I really enjoyed adding in the house and playing around with the different features.

Reading 5 - Conducting & writing my analysis!

Hey guys, For the readings this week I am starting to write my analysis. After looking through my matrix and the significance of each of them I will be writing about the similarities of each of the articles that I think will be important to use. I have be looking at my sub topics in more depth and looking for more relevant information that can be used to write my chapters. This weeks reading has taken a bit longer then it should as I think its important that I fully understand what I am looking at and what I am using to conduct my analysis. What I have learnt from narrowing things done is that a lot of articles I have read and saved onto my computer are all repeating the information which I need, this means to me anyway that them documents are essential for my analysis. Introduction to me being me!

I never know how to write about myself. I always feel so embarrassed and I don't know why😅 Like last year when Margret asked us to do a video about ourselves, I wanted to cry as I never know what to say about myself without sounding big headed! So here comes the cringe fest.... My name is Elizabeth, I am 23 years old and I was born and bred in Maynooth. It is a nice a place but now its just full of college students who are taking over (I know i'm a college student but these people are from the country you know)😂. My First Game Brainstorm.
