Unity Tutorial 02... HERE WE GO AGAIN!!

Hey Guys,

Welcome back to my blog, we are finally in semester two and starting unity all over again but this time now I know what to expect so it does not seem as horrible like last semester!

So anyway what I am really liking about the unity tutorials this year that they are step by step on the unity website, I am finding this a great help as I am not loosing my focus trying to jump between the video and doing the action on unity as they give you time at the end of each video and run through each step this way they make sure you don't fall behind. What I am also enjoying is the step by step process which you have to complete. I felt a sense of achievement once I completed each step.
I was also shown #cScript again but this time it was step by step. This really helped me understand more about #cScript.

I found weeks unity very long as it took 3 and half hours maybe even a bit longer but that is the estimate time to complete the tutorials.

Overall I enjoyed this weeks set of unity tutorials it was nice to refresh my mind after 6 weeks but because I struggled in semester 1 with unity I feel this is the right path to take again and not throw myself in the deep end with VR.

Anyway guys I will be back next week to talk about week 3 unity!

Reading 5 - Conducting & writing my analysis!

Hey guys, For the readings this week I am starting to write my analysis. After looking through my matrix and the significance of each of them I will be writing about the similarities of each of the articles that I think will be important to use.   I have be looking at my sub topics in more depth and looking for more relevant information that can be used to write my chapters. This weeks reading has taken a bit longer then it should as I think its important that I fully understand what I am looking at and what I am using to conduct my analysis.  What I have learnt from narrowing things done is that a lot of articles I have read and saved onto my computer are all repeating the information which I need, this means to me anyway that them documents are essential for my analysis.  (Update) After speaking to Shaun this morning, I am starting to feel more confident in my topic, I am aware that I need to work more on my matrix for my second topic which I am ...

Introduction to me being me!

I never know how to write about myself. I always feel so embarrassed and I don't know why😅 Like last year when Margret asked us to do a video about ourselves, I wanted to cry as I never know what to say about myself without sounding big headed! So here comes the cringe fest.... My name is Elizabeth, I am 23 years old and I was born and bred in Maynooth. It is a nice a place but now its just full of college students who are taking over (I know i'm a college student but these people are from the country you know)😂.           I still live at home with my mum and recently my boyfriend Dan has moved in with us as well. I have a sister Meaghan who is getting married next year to her fiancee Lesley. In the last couple of years we have also gotten in contact with my half sister, so our family just keeps on growing which is great.  We are a very close family and I wouldn't have it any other way. I am very lucky to have such amazing people to be there for me ...

Learning About Mindset Growth

When I think about mindset I think about relaxing, I have never heard of Carol Dweck until today. What I learnt from listening and reading to what she has to say I have realized that sometimes I run away from error and I don't like to be told I'm wrong especially if it is in a subject that I don't practically like. She has thought me that I should better myself and try again when ever I fail at something. When Carol talks about "how we are raising our children" I do think parents except more from their children, personally because I have dyslexia my mum always says "all I want you to do, is do your best" and that is exactly what I have done but thinking back to when I done the leaving cert a lot of my friend's parents excepted them to come out with A's which puts pressure on their children which isn't fair. Of course students want the best grades but to have added pressure from their parents is very unfair. My biggest problem when setting...
